The Boeing Company Systems Engineer (Experienced): B-52 Bombers Program (Systems Architecture) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking experienced (Level 4) Systems Engineers to join our B-52 Systems Engineering Advanced Programs team to execute Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) projects for the Bombers program. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
As a Level 4 Systems Engineer you will be responsible for collaborating with other Systems Engineers, both within the team and across the Boeing enterprise, to support program execution. The role encompasses all elements of Systems Engineering including requirements management, functional analysis and allocation, integration and test, and validation and verification. Elements of technical planning and program monitoring and control are also required to facilitate program milestone delivery within time and budget (e.g. development of engineering plans, management of metrics and baselines, technical input to risks and opportunities). Integration of Systems Engineering activities with specialist disciplines will be essential and a breadth of experience desired to maximize team strength. Interaction with customers and stakeholders will be a crucial part of this role.
Determine and manage stakeholder requirements
Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to System Design, including aspects of: Architectural Design, Functional Analysis, Interface Management, Modeling and Simulation, Trade Studies, System Integration and Test, Validation, Verification, and Transition to Operations.
Systems Engineering Management including: integrating subject matter expertise; lifecycle definition; planning, monitoring and control, including tailoring of generic processes; identification, assessment, analysis, and control of systems engineering risks; and monitoring and control of progress.
Apply fundamental concepts of systems thinking to systems engineering. These include: understanding what a system is; its context within its environment; its boundaries and interfaces; its lifecycle and an appreciation of the role the system plays in the super system of which it is a part.
Tailor and apply engineering initiatives, best practices and processes.
Resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Experience in developing, maintaining and/or managing systems/services
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences (i.e. technical vs. non-technical).
Preferred Skills (Assets):
Knowledge, understanding, and experience in three or more of the following areas: Aerodynamics, Avionics Systems, Electrical System Design, Propulsion, Structural Design, and/or Systems Analysis.
Experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations.
Project Engineering Experience (System design and planning).
Typical Education / Experience:
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
