Job Description:

The Regional RN Director of Care Services ensures assigned communities are provided with oversight in the areas of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, risk reduction, clinical and staff management as well as survey readiness. The Regional RN Director of Care Services assists with transition to and oversight of, the use of software for clinical assessments, documentation and medication administration.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State Nursing Licensing Authority Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Must have five (5) years of nursing experience including management experience, preferably in long-term care and/or the assisted Living level of care Must have a working knowledge of software, computer applications and be able to work with staff and consultants as company transitions to e-assessments, e-service plans and e-mar systems Must have current knowledge of best practices for the elderly and residents with dementia Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, community management officials, state regulatory agencies and agency staff, physicians, hospitals and the general public. Must have a valid driver license and be able to travel Must meet all state health requirements Must pass the criminal background check Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation Essential Functions:

Provide oversight and support to assigned communities in the transition to software applications for resident assessments, service plans and medication administration Maintain a close working relationship with the Regional Director relevant to community status and issues to include timely reporting and discussion of issues of concern Work with assigned communities to assure compliance of State regulations, other oversight agency requirements and company policies and procedures Monitor communities to reduce risks, assure safe practices and promotion of Resident Rights Assists community management with resident care issues, hiring of nursing personnel, personnel training and challenges Assist the Quality Assurance Department as a team member to promote the expected standards of care Assist communities to maintain an active and functional Quality Assurance Community Program to include QA incident reviews, self-surveys, resident satisfaction surveys, MSL complaint program, identification of deficiencies, development and implementation of plans of improvement and to assist with any plan of correction Participates in staff training programs and assures staff educational requirements are met Meridian Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer
