Hetronic is seeking a detailed oriented Quality Engineer who will work with Operations and engineering to understand, analyze and resolve quality issues.

In this role, the main objectives will be to investigate and coordinate customer concerns, monitor quality related costs and champion internal activities aimed to address and close outstanding customer complaints. The position also requires hands on experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Quality engineering includes:
Identify, implement, monitor and report key quality metrics like FPY, line failures, warranty failures and zero time failures
Work on Corrective and Preventive actions for both internal and external failures
Initiate and facilitate improvement teams such as PIT, CAR and Kaizen teams
Identify opportunities for improvements in current production and quality practices
Create work instructions, visual aids and other process documents as required
Aid in the deployment of Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Work Cellular Flow, Mistake Proofing and other lean methods
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and document them
Aid in the collection and analysis of data, including but not limited to material complaints, field failures, process time studies and other relevant data
Develop plant layout, work on productivity improvement and cost reduction
Identify, document and implement best practices across the plant
Root cause analysis includes
Work with production and engineering team to understand functional tests and analysis
Work with QC and service team to understand failure modes and troubleshooting methods
Troubleshoot field failures to determine the root-cause at PCB component level and record the data
Work with quality department in collection and analysis of the data
Report trends and work with quality department on the root cause analysis and corrective actions
Act as liaison between engineering, production and quality
Other duties as assigned by the quality manager
Bachelor degree in Electrical, Industrial or Quality engineering highly preferred (Associate degree will be considered)
Experience of 3-5 years in a manufacturing facility with electrical, electronics, automotive or aerospace background
Ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background with hands on experience with troubleshooting at component level
Experience working with lean and process improvement tools and teams
Lean six sigma green belt certification preferred but not required
Experience with data collection and root cause analysis strongly desired
