Responsibilities and Qualifications
Under the general supervision of the Catherine's Corner Supervisor, the food service worker is responsible for preparing specialty drinks, serving menu items, collecting revenue for purchases, help prepare food items, and assisting in the opening and closing duties for Catherine's corner.
Prepares Catherine's Corner for serving of food and beverage items.
1.1 Sets up all food items in accordance to schedule. Portion food items in deli and pastry case according to set pars.
1.2 Displays food items in an attractive manner. Replenishes and maintains quantities during serving hours.
1.3 Prepares all product necessary for opening of business day. Follows correct procedures for brewing of all teas and coffees and follows guidelines concerning shelf lifes.
1.4 Assist in kitchen to help prep food items as needed
Serves customers of Catherine's Corner during business hours.
2.1 Serves all food products according to recipes and demonstrates product knowledge. Demonstrates ability to use equipment necessary for preparing product.
2.2 Demonstrates ability to interact with a wide variety of people and to be effectively courteous with all guests and visitors. Demonstrates a sense of urgency at all times.
2.3 Demonstrates ability to collect revenue and make correct change for purchases in Catherine's Corner.
2.4 Communicates any special requests to the Supervisor at Catherine's corner.
2.5 Maintains standards of cleanliness throughout the shift.
2.6 Serves all food products using appropriate utensils and portion sizes as determined by policy.
2.7 Checks food temperatures at appropriate times and performs all documentation of temperatures necessary.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Six months to one year of food service experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience working with barrista and specialty coffee equipment.
